HOW MADHYA PRADESH POLICE IS REVOLUTIONIZING TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
Traffic congestion is a serious concern in Indore, with thousands of vehicles plying the roads every day.
According to recent data, the city has witnessed a significant increase in traffic volume in the past few
years. In 2022, there were over 12 lahk (1.2 million) registered vehicles in Indore, and the number is expected to rise in the coming years. With such a large number of vehicles on the roads, traffic jams, and delays have become a major challenge for the city. In response to the increasing traffic
congestion in Indore, the Madhya Pradesh Police took proactive measures to address the issue and ensure smooth traffic flow. Under the leadership of Mr. Manish Kumar Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic Management), Indore, the Traffic Management Police initiated the use of a Google Map real-time traffic tracking system to monitor and manage traffic in the city. The Google Map traffic tracking system provides real-time information about traffic conditions on various roads in Indore, allowing the Traffic Management Police to identify areas with high traffic congestion and take appropriate actions to resolve the issue. The system also enables the Quick Response Team (QRT) to reach the spot immediately before traffic congestion occurs, ensuring smooth traffic flow
